This policy explains how Kaaru Home Private Limited, 14 Lavelle Road, Bengaluru 560001, Karnataka ("Kaaru", "we") handles personal data when you use our website, place an order or contact us. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the data fiduciary for this data.

Details you give us: your name, email address, mobile number, delivery and billing addresses, order history, reviews and photos you submit, and anything you write to our care team.

Payment information: we receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and the method used. Card numbers, UPI PINs and netbanking credentials are handled by our RBI-authorised payment gateway and never reach our systems.

Usage information: pages you visit, items you add to your bag or wishlist, your approximate location from your PIN code, device and browser type, and your IP address.

To process and deliver your orders, issue GST invoices, handle returns and refunds, reply to your messages, prevent fraud, and meet our legal and tax obligations.

With your consent, to send you our newsletter, offers and WhatsApp updates, and to show you more relevant products. You can withdraw consent at any time, and doing so does not affect your orders.

Courier and furniture delivery partners, who receive your name, address and phone number. Payment gateways, who process your payment. Service providers who send our emails, texts and WhatsApp messages, host our website and help us understand how it is used.

Each of these partners may only use your data to provide their service to us. We never sell your personal data. We share data with government authorities only when the law requires it.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your bag. With your consent, we also use analytics cookies to understand which pages are useful and marketing cookies to measure our advertising. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, but your bag may not be saved.

We keep account data for as long as your account is open. Order and invoice records are kept for the period Indian tax law requires. Marketing data is deleted when you unsubscribe, apart from a record that you opted out, so we do not contact you again.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or complete it, ask us to erase it, withdraw consent, and nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. Our website uses encrypted connections, access to customer data is limited to the people who need it for their work, and our service providers are held to the same standard. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
